Professor Alexander Etkind has been appointed Senior Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg for Summer Term 2022.
He previously taught at St Petersburg, Cambridge and EUI Florence and was visiting scholar at NYU, Harvard, Wissenschaftskolleg Berlin and many other places.
Etkind's research areas include intellectual history, memory studies, natural resources, the history of political economy, the history of empire and colonialism as well as contemporary Russian politics, novel and film.
At Constance, he will pursue his new project 'Surviving the Anthropocene: The Political Economy of Coloniality of Virtual Space'.
