Zur Person

Christa Wirth ist Professorin für Geschichte (1750-heute) an der Universität von Agder (UiA) in Norwegen. An der UiA leitet sie die interdisziplinäre Forschungsgruppe, Claimed Pasts: Critical Knowledge and Heritage Production.

Von 2006 bis 2008 war sie Akademische Assistentin bei Prof. Dr. Carlo Moos am Historischen Seminar der Universität Zürich in den Bereichen Lehre, Forschung, Bibliothek und Administration. Danach war sie von 2008 bis 2013 zunächst als Visiting Fellow, später als Teaching Fellow/Advisor am History Departement der Harvard in den Bereichen Studies of Women, Gender and Sexuality tätig. Ihre Tätigkeit dort schloss sie mit der Stelle als Postdoctoral Teaching Associate am Departement of Germanic Languages and Literatures ab. Ihre Arbeit als Post-Doc führte sie 2016 unter anderem auch ans German Historical Institute in Washington, D.C. Von 2013-2018 hatte Christa Wirth die Oberassistenz an der Universität Zürich am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Monika Dommann am Historischen Seminar (HS) inne, bevor sie dann im Jahr 2018 als Associate Professor für Geschichte (1750-present) an die Universität Agder in Kristiansand, Norwegen wechselte. Seit 2022 ist sie dort Professorin für Geschichte (1750-present).
