SUBMISSION

We invite PhD students and postdocs to send abstracts (500 words) and a short biographical statement (no more than 1 page) by 25 February 2018 to Hannah Voß at hiwis.kwaschik@uni-konstanz.de. The working language of the conference is English. However, exceptions are made for presenters of PhD projects in French. The German Historical Institute will pay an appropriate flat-rate travel allowance. The summer school aims to attract a limited number of junior researchers (PhD students and early postdocs) for an intense discussion with international scholars, based on pre-circulated papers (which are to be submitted by 1 September 2018).

In addition to historical approaches, we also encourage social anthropological, sociological and interdisciplinary approaches from the history of the humanities.
