Guidelines for the Submission of Documents

For Students, course participants, exam candidates etc.:

Please provide the following details on ALL documents which you intend to hand in for Prof. Dr. Signori - be it reading lists, lecture minutes, thesis papers, term papers, essays, etc.:

  • What is your name? (Name: XXX)
  • What is your matriculation number? (Matriculation Number: XXX)
  • How can we reach you via e-mail? (E-mail: XXX)
  • For which semester are you handing in the document? (WS/SS 20XXX)
  • On which date have you created the document? (Date: XXX)
  • Which is the current version? (Version from: XXX)
  • What type of document is this and to which course or exam does it relate? (Term Paper / Presentation Script /Essay etc. for the course: XXX / Lecture minutes for the course of the: XXX in the course XXX / Thesis paper for the exam topic: XXX for the exxam on the: XXX, etc. ...)
  • What is the title of your document? (Title: XXX)
  • Please leave a margin of 4 cm for corrections on the right side of all pages

We don't need any personal data such as postal adresses, mobile phone numbers, room numbers or informations about room or time of the course.

A few remarks regarding electronic / digital versions of your documents (contrarily to print versions): In case you want to hand in your document via e-mail, please use - if possible - the file format "*.docx".

Please AVOID file titles including:

  • Umlauts (ä, ü, ö, please replace with ae, ue, oe)
  • Blank spaces (xxx xx.doc)
  • ‘sharp s‘ (ß, please replace with ss)
  • Additional full stops in the file title (xxx.xxx.doc)
  • Quotation marks in the file title (term paper for Signori "Ländliche Gesellschaften".docx)

Negative example: A document sent in via e-mail with the title
"Hausarbeit zur Einführung ins Spätmittelalter von Siegbert Mußtermann vom 14.12.2011.docx" (or the same as pdf) can definitely NOT be opened and will lead to a "file corrupted, can not be opened" message.

If you want your document to arrive safely at Prof. Dr. Signori - and to be able to be opened and read - please choose short, linked titles such as:
"EinfSpaetmittelHausarbeitMusstermann.pdf"
oder "hausarbeit_mustermann14122011.pdf"

If you want to be completely safe, you can send a copy of your document additionally to her secretary Caroline Böhme (sekretariat.signori@uni-konstanz.de)
